now Perth trip

hey juz came back from Perth, not very used to the hot weather in s'pore haha. now is early in the mornin but i somehow juz dun wna sleep. haha. the farm stay in the Orchard Glory Farm is more interestin than the hotel coz our rooms r seperated from each other and no one would complaint when we party late in the nite. this trip made us noe more ppl from diff classes n noe each other betta. at the end of the six days, i dun even wna to leave Perth bcoz of the climate ,the ppl and the lifestyle there. miss our bus driver, uncle Russell, to b wif us for the last six days n reali tks him for drivin v stable so tt i cld sleep along the way. the first time i tried sand boarding n i believe it's the same for many others, it was an unforgettable experience. we oso play balls along the beach wif friends, laugh when sb fell down n struggle when sb wna bury u in the sands. it was juz so fun. shoppin is oso part of our schedule but it costs alot haha. besides all these, we ve learnt abt how  native animals there behave n live and we even got a chance to get closer to touch them n feed them. on the fifth nite, we were given a chance to c stars in the Gravity Discovery centre n noe abt the recent trend of sci in the gravitational waves research. lastly, the food there was quite gd as well.

feelings for 3K so far

My first impression for this class was that there were so many people from 2j, feeling very familiar. And then our form teacher Mr. tan is a very kind and interesting person, he is a joke itself as in people can laugh by just looking at him, no offence! and its time for me to get to know people from other classes and get along with them. our class got a lot of energy coz got so many 2jayers. haha. i like to be in a triple science class, people here are as brilliant as me which is goooooood. i like pressure very much, it can push me to a different level haha, more powerful! one thing no so good was about the "altitude" we are at. every time we came back from PE lessons or other far away lessons, we have to conquer a mountain before reaching the destination! anyway that didnt affect my passion for 3k, and being part of it, hope the coming sec 3 bonding camp can make us more united and more familiar with everyone!

gattaca

this is a very nice movie not only the plot is good but it also help us to spend almost three English lessons watching it haha. that's why i think it's good.

my friend Jeff told me that he had watched this before on HBO quite recently. this movie talks about what's the scienticfic advance in the future. the technology can be used to control and decide virtually everything, it's kind of scary, everything is settled the moment you were born.

some people enjoyed that technology while some tried to prove that human determination can overachieve what is beyond the initial expectation, that is, making the impossibles possible. after all, just like what was shown in the end of the film, there is no gene for human spirits. i agree with that, because that's what makes human beings special and unique, and makes life interesting, challenging and exciting because of the presence of uncertainties.

imagining that if every person you met was a exact clone of you, then i think life will become a very boring and meaningless thing. everyone is perfect, no birth detects, no diseases, high IQ, extraordinary abilities. then everything turns into a kind of routine, lacking of changes. that may probably make the human wills faint and weak.

the moive also displays a sort of discrimination against DNA, or genes. if you possess a good DNA sequence, you can get anything you want, like jobs, marriage and respect from others. that is not fair for those who had a not so good genetic sequence, how can you be so sure that these people will always be inferior to the good genes ones?

school reopen

The two months long holidays had just ended

and i was pulled back to the tiring reality again haha but there is still something good which is the long pants i am wearing though it's quite hot but it shows that we are in upper sec already haha.

but most of my current classmates are my sec two ones, so we knew each other quite well already.

there still got some people from other classes who i still did not know their name yet but i will try to figure them out and make friends with them and hope they will like me haha.

this is my second year studying in singapore and i am quite used to the ways singaporeans interact and the educational system. i found the people here friendly and helpful. haha its true and the city clean and the air is fresher than taiwan.

furthermore, our form teacher Mr. tan is quite humorous and nice. however, he scared me with the last year o-level English paper 1 ,i found all the topics given very tough to write. and there is virtually nothing can be written in narrative style.

so this stir up my ambition of reading more frenquently and practised more exam stuffs like comprehension which was my weakpoint haha

hopefully i can improve my English under Mr. tan's lectures because i have confidence that he can teach quite well and realise all my goals.

haha our class got one person who is top in level last year, which make me stressed but i hope i could beat her this year acedemically haha. that's my aim
